In Moscow was signed an agreement on the procedure for providing financial assistance to the Republic of South Ossetia in order to make budget investments and support investment activities, and an agreement on the procedure for providing financial assistance for the socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia, the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy in Moscow reported on Tuesday.
"The agreements were signed between the Ministry of Finance of South Ossetia and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the documents provide for the provision by the Russian Federation of free financial assistance to the Republic of South Ossetia in order to make budget investments and support investment activities in the framework of the implementation of the Investment programs, as well as assistance for socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia’s, "the message reads.
As noted by the Embassy, these bilateral agreements provide for further development of the legal framework between South Ossetia and Russia, the implementation of which will be a significant contribution to improving the living standards of the residents of South Ossetia and the infrastructural development of the Republic.
The agreements were signed by the Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, Znaur Gassiev, and the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Babich.
