South Ossetia will take part in the International Economic Forum of the CIS countries (IEF CIS) "Green Agenda in the CIS countries: cooperation in development" that opens on Friday. This was reported to the “Res” news agency by the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia.
According to the Embassy, the Forum is organized by the Business Center for Economic Development of the CIS with the support of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States and members of the CIS Economic Council (Deputy prime ministers, ministers, prominent political figures), heads of the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission, representatives of the legislative and executive power, the real sector of the economy, chambers of commerce and industry, industry associations and banking communities, entrepreneurs and top managers of medium and large businesses from near and far abroad, IT structures, experts, media representatives, Russian and foreign partners.
“The Forum is aimed at finding new forms of cooperation between public authorities, business, civil society of the CIS countries for joint initiatives in the field of achieving sustainable development goals and decarbonization of economies. There is an active discussion between the governments and businesses of the CIS member states of economic incentives that help attract investment in innovation and technological change, taking into account modern environmental requirements,” the Embassy said.
