President Anatoly Bibilov has met with the delegation of the Donetsk People's Republic, which arrived in the Republic of South Ossetia as international observers for the presidential election, the press service of the government reported.
The delegation has includesd deputies of the People's Council of the DPR Sergey Prokopenko, Viktor Ishchenko and Vasily Pertsev.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the RSO Parliament Alan Tadtaev.
Greeting the guests, Anatoly Bibilov noted the importance of the participation of the Donetsk delegation in the presidential elections in the Republic of South Ossetia as observers, and also expressed sincere gratitude to the guests for their support and conveyed his best wishes to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin.
“I am glad that in such a difficult time for Donbass you are here. We are all witnesses of the events taking place in the Donetsk People's Republic. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian aggression is oriented on Nazism and fascism, but the special military operation that the Russian Federation is conducting should put an end to this. This is the only way to stop Nazism where it has originated,” the President said.
Anatoly Bibilov has also stressed that the arrival of delegations makes the election of the President of South Ossetia even more important.
“The whole world is watching the voting process, how the people of South Ossetia ate making their choice. I'm sure it will be right," he said.
For his part, Sergei Prokopenko, deputy of the People's Council of the DPR, conveyed to Anatoly Bibilov words of gratitude and support on behalf of the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin.
“We are aware of the responsibility of the upcoming elections. You show us your attitude towards us by your deeds, you prove that you are with us. We feel support and fraternal shoulder. You have a big step ahead of you, to which the Ossetian people have been walking with you for many years. This is a step towards joining the Russian Federation. We are sincerely glad and look forward to this day together with you,” Sergei Prokopenko said.
He has also noted that the fates of the peoples of Donbass and South Ossetia are in many ways similar, which is why they have a special, fraternal bond.
“The guys from Ossetia are fighting shoulder to shoulder with us, protecting us, defending our independence. Thank them very much!” - he said.
