The second "Guards School" of the capital of South Ossetia has again joined in the collection of assistance to residents of Donbass, Luhansk region and military personnel who are participating in a special operation in Ukraine. Schoolchildren, with the support of the director, teachers and parents, are collecting food, medicines and clothes.
As school director Olga Mikhailidi told the “Res” news agency, now the people of Donbass could not be left without support.
“Fights continue in the Donbass, there are many refugees, people need basic items, hygiene products, medicines, clothes. We have bought pates, condensed milk, stews, mashed potatoes - instant dishes, candles and icons, because they are Orthodox people. We have bought apples, plates, water - everything they need,” she said.
Mikhailidi has urged people not to remain indifferent to someone else's misfortune and to help. She has noted that people can bring food to the general collection of aid, located on Stalin Street, 19.
"We have collected a sufficient amount of money at the school. Now I am waiting for information from our volunteer Timur, he will clarify on the spot with the volunteers what people need most and we will buy it up. People need our support, the situation there is very difficult now. Let's help, fellow countrymen, let's be active once again and collect help within a few days," the director has urged.
The collected food, medicines and things will later be transferred to the general collection point for assistance on Stalin Street, 19.
