The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia, on the invitation of the Nicaraguan side, took part in the solemn reception on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution, held at the Embassy of the Republic of Nicaragua, the press service of the Embassy reports.
Ambassador of the Republic Znaur Gassiev in his congratulatory message noted the Victory of the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua as a demonstration of the commitment of the Nicaraguan people to the ideals of freedom.
“From that day on, people of Nicaragua were building a new life, defending their homeland from imperialist aggression, laying a wonderful future worthy of independence and sovereignty. The people of South Ossetia, who are familiar with all the difficulties and victories on the way to achieving independence, share with all their hearts the solemnity of this holiday and the joy of the fraternal people of Nicaragua.
The Embassy renews the assurances of the highest respect to the Embassy of the Republic of Nicaragua and asks to accept the sincerest wishes to the staff of the Embassy, the leadership of the country and all the people of every success, and Nicaragua - many years of well-being and prosperity,” the message also says.
With the assistance of the Trade Representation at the Embassy, a national tent was pitch at the reception with a presentation of traditional Ossetian cuisine and products of South Ossetian enterprises.
Representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Russia, Russian public figures, representatives of the creative intelligentsia were invited to the holiday.
