In the chronicles of the Ossetian people, the date September 10, 2009 will forever remain one of the most significant historical events, says the congratulatory message of the head of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry Akhsar Dzhioev to his colleague from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Ivan Gil Pinto on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by Venezuela.
“The recognition of the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has become a symbol of sincere solidarity, selfless support and the triumph of justice.
This responsible and courageous step was yet another proof of Venezuela’s commitment to a just world order, its readiness to defend the ideals of goodness and creation, to develop good neighborly relations and mutually beneficial diplomatic ties,” says the text of the congratulations published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
