On Friday The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia, at the invitation of the leadership of the Russion World Foundation, took part in the opening ceremony of the XV Russian World Assembly, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
The main theme is “The mission of the Russian word in a multipolar world.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants. The President has noted that Russia is always open to strengthening friendly partnerships in all areas.
“During a detailed, thoughtful conversation, the participants will discuss a wide range of problems related to the popularization of the Russian language and literature, strengthening the Russian-language information space, and preserving the rich, multifaceted historical, creative, and spiritual heritage of the Russian world.

The event was also attended by Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and the representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in the Benelux countries Radion Pukhaev.
The Forum brought together representatives from 77 countries.
