President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with a delegation from Abkhazia that arrived in the republic as observers at the elections to the Parliament of the 8th convocation.
Among the guests of the Republic were parliamentarians of Abkhazia.
Welcoming the guests from the fraternal republic; the President has noted that the election campaign was carried out within the legal framework.
“All political forces treated each other with respect, which is always very nice to see. Thank you for coming to us for the elections and welcome again,” Gagloev said and wished prosperity to the fraternal people.
The President has also added that the peoples of Abkhazia and South Ossetia have gone through a difficult path together and are building a future together with a strategic partner - the Russian Federation.
A member of the Parliament of the Abkhaz Republic Badrik Pilia noted that they were also glad to attend such an important event for the Republic.
“We visited several polling stations and saw a joyful atmosphere. The elections are being held as a holiday and we are very pleased with this. I wish the elections to end with the same joyful mood, and well-being to the fraternal Ossetian people. I wish the people to feel positive changes as a result of these elections,” - the deputy said.
The meeting was also attended by parliamentarians of Abkhazia and a number of candidates for deputies of the Parliament of South Ossetia.
