Two Tajik citizens detained last week by the South Ossetian border guards for illegally crossing the state border of South Ossetia will be handed over to the Georgian side in accordance with the established procedure, the press service of the Republic's KGB reports.
"The Tajik citizens Saiburkhonov Shokirjon Khoshimovich, born in 2008, and Dalatov Maksudali Kurbonalievich, born in 1993, residing in Georgia in the border village of Dirbi in the Kareli municipality, were detained on September 5," the press service said.
It has been established that the aforementioned foreigners got lost and unintentionally violated the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the village of Gvirgina in the Znaur district.
"On September 11, Saiburkhonov and Dalatov were found guilty by the Tskhinvali City Court of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 4 of the Republic's Law "On Administrative Liability for Violations in the Field of Protecting the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" and were punished with a fine and administrative expulsion," the department has noted.
It was added that the violators would be handed over to the Georgian authorities in the established manner.
