Magnificent duels, skill and accuracy: international practical shooting competitions have ended in Tskhinval

Practical shooting competitions in South Ossetia gave the athletes an excellent opportunity for professional growth, President of the Practical Shooting Federation of Russia Mikhail Gushchin noted during the award ceremony for the winners and prize winners of the international practical shooting competitions in South Ossetia.

More than 100 shooters from twelve countries took part in the competitions.

The competitions were taking place over several days at the shooting range of the Alan sports shooting club. It is a unique venue for such events, combining a high level of security and a unique natural landscape.

“In 2023, the first international tournament was held in South Ossetia and, by tradition, the second such competitions were held here this year. I would like them to become annual. These competitions are very important for us. This is the opportunity for our shooters to grow professionally. You have seen great duels, the skill of the athletes, the guys have long outgrown this step and it is time to become masters of sports of international class," Gushchin said.

Vice President of the Practical Shooting Federation of Russia Anton Nazarov congratulated the participants on the end of the competition, having noted that practical shooting as a sport in Russia will be developing and moving forward.

"We hold the competitions with all our hearts so that even in the difficult situation that has formed around our homeland, we can show the highest level of shooting that you have seen today in the duels and receive well-deserved marks in the form of titles and public recognition," he said.

Chairman of the Practical Shooting Council of St. Petersburg Alan Alborov has also noted that the competitions brought together like-minded people, all those who are passionate about this sport.

The winners of the Open class have become Alan Tigiev, Andrey Semenov and Vladislav Bebnev.

In the Standard class, Khasan Abduyev has won, and the winners of the Production class have become David Medoyev, Sergey Abramov and Alexander Storoshchuk.

The champions of the Production optics class have become Egor Kuznetsov, Leonid Panachev and Chermen Tibilov. And in the Classic class, Sergey Andreyev, Ivan Kuznetsov and Arvid Bestayev have won.

In the Revolver class, Alexey Chutkov has won, and in the PCC Optics class- Akhsar Bakayev.

The winners of another PCC Optics class, the Ladu category, Inga Chekhoeva and Tatyana Rykova have taken the first place.
