One of the most titled wrestlers from South Ossetia, Arseniy Dzhioev, will be participating in the European Championship among adults in Bratislava, Slovakia. The athlete himself told IA Res about this.
The major sporting event will be held from April 7 to 13. The championship will bring together the best wrestlers of the continent, who will compete for medals and rating points in three styles: freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling.
More than 450 athletes from 29 countries will be taking part in the competition, who will compete in 30 weight class.
"I will be competing in the strongest weight class - 86 kg. Many of the strongest wrestlers, including the Olympic champions, will be represented at the competition. It will be a strong championship," Dzhioev said.
The athlete is currently training in Azerbaijan. He went there immediately after his successful performance at the European U23 Championship, where he became the winner.
Dzhioev is a member of the Azerbaijani national team.
