The ICRC representatives asked the South Ossetian authorities to visit the Georgian citizen detained at the border

Secretary of the Security Council of South Ossetia Valery Valiev has received the head of the representative Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tskhinval, Ms. Carmen Echezarreta at her request, the press service of the Republic's Foreign Ministry reports.

The head of the ICRC Representative office provided information on the implementation of humanitarian programs implemented by the ICRC in South Ossetia, as well as shared the organization's plans for the coming period.

There are no new ones: 46 people have been tested for coronavirus in South Ossetia per day

46 tests carried out over the past day showed a negative result, no new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in South Ossetia, Deputy Head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee told IA “Res” on Wednesday.

Since May of this year, 3301 have been tested for coronavirus in the Republic.

"To date, there are 4 patients in the hospital with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19," Gagloeva said.

The IPRM meeting on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia may be held next week

The South Ossetian side insists on a meeting in the format of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism after almost a year break, negotiations are tentatively scheduled for July 30, the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the meetings in this format Yegor Kochiev told IA “Res ”.

“A preliminary agreement has been reached. For several weeks, taking into account the recent incidents at the border, there were intensive consultations on the hotline in order to find the possibility of resuming meetings in the IPRM format,”Kochiev said.
