Akhsar Dzhioev discussed humanitarian cooperation with the leadership of the Red Cross Delegation in South Ossetia

On Wednesday, Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev received the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation in the Republic, Said Assadullah, and the head of the ICRC Delegation's Protection Department, Marko Doshlyak.

According to the Foreign Ministry's press service, during the meeting, a number of practical issues related to the ICRC's humanitarian activities in South Ossetia were discussed, and the views were exchanged on some topical aspects of cooperation.

The funeral of Atsamaz Buraev, a serviceman from the 4th Russian Military Base perished while on duty in the Kherson region, was held in Tskhinval.

The funeral ceremony was attended by the Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, members of Parliament, headed by Speaker Alan Margiev, the soldier's family and friends, and his fellow soldiers.

Yegor Kochiev: Five cases of the Georgian citizens violating the South Ossetian border were recorded in January

In January of this year, five violations of the South Ossetian state border by the Georgian citizens were recorded. This was stated by Yegor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation at the talks, summing up the results of the recent IPRM meeting.

According to him, a criminal case has been opened against one detainee, while the other four were fined and expelled from the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia.
