The next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) will be held on Monday at the border between South Ossetia and Georgia, in the village of Ergnet.

The main topic of the discussion will once again be the Georgian police post illegally stationed in the village of Uista, South Ossetia, since late August 2019.

The participants will also address the border security issues and analyze the data on the border violations since the previous IPRM meeting.

Victoria Gazzaeva, a lecturer at the South Ossetian State University, was awarded an award for a series of works devoted to studying the factors of social development and identity of the Ossetian Diaspora in Turkey.

The lecturer in the Department of Political Science and Sociology at the South Ossetian State University received a third-class diploma, according to the University's press service.

"The diploma was presented to the young scholar as part of the 20th Zhdanov Readings, 'Yu.A. Zhdanov and the Don Culture. Zhdanov and Sholokhov,'" the press service has noted.

Аs part of the "My New Year's Dream" charity event, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev removed an envelope from the wish tree containing a touching request from a 15-year-old Dmitry Tabuev.

Dmitry is a son of Rustam Tabuev, who died heroically while serving in the special military operation zone.

In the letter to Father Frost, the boy asked for humanitarian aid to be sent to his father's comrades from the "Storm. Ossetia" battalion (Issa Pliev's regiment), who continue to serve in the special military operation zone.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry sent a note of sympathy and support to the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry in connection with Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Lata Tragedy in the Republic, the Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

"Recalling the horrific events of December 14, 1992, we are once again remembering one of the most monstrous pages of the war—the deliberate extermination of civilians," the note reads.
