Stanislav Pukhaev, who had died heroically in the line of duty during the special military operation, was laid to rest in South Ossetia.

Hundreds of residents of the Republic, along with the country's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, comrades-in-arms, and the hero's family and friends, came to share the grief of the deceased's family.

South Ossetia's Ambassador to Russia, Znaur Gassiev, sent the appeal to the international community in connection with the 35th anniversary of the Ered tragedy.

According to the Embassy's press service, the documents were sent to the heads of all diplomatic missions accredited to the Russian Federation, as well as to the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland.

The appeal highlights the tragedy as part of a long line of unpunished criminal acts and genocide against the Ossetian people committed by Georgia.

A memorial rally was held at the Zguder cemetery in South Ossetia, where the victims of one of the most tragic chapters of the Republic's modern history are buried. The event was timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the Ered tragedy.

The memorial event was attended by the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, members of the government, relatives of the victims, and members of the public.

The head of state has noted that the tragedy left the unhealed wound in the hearts of every resident of South Ossetia.

The Airborne Forces soldiers thanked the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev for his support on the front lines.

Servicemen from the 33rd Airborne Forces Regiment have previously sent a video message to Alan Gagloev asking for assistance in resolving logistical issues on the front lines.

The head of state responded promptly: the necessary containers were purchased and delivered to the front lines as quickly as possible. They are currently being used to set up shelters.⁣⁣

In South Ossetia, the work is nearing completion on the memorial dedicated to one of the most tragic chapters in the Republic's history—the Ered tragedy.As the Honored Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Robert Khubaev told reporters, the monument was created in cooperation with the outstanding master, the People's Artist of South Ossetia Sarmat Zasseev, who, unfortunately, did not live to see the project's completion.

On Monday, South Ossetia bid farewell to Vadim Mamiev (call sign Tsunar), who perished in the special military operation zone.

Chairman of the Government, Dzambolat Tadtaev; Chief of the Presidential Executive Office, Alan Alborov; members of Parliament; Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia, Marat Kulakhmetov; Mamiev's family and friends; as well as his comrades-in-arms attended the funeral.

The Defense Minister Yuri Yarovitsky has noted that Mamiev was honorably fulfilling his military duty.

А memorial rally and a ceremony to lay a memorial stone at the site of a future memorial complex will be held in the village of Irykau (Ered) in Tskhinval District of South Ossetia on March 18.

This event will mark the beginning of work on the memorial complex dedicated to the victims of one of the largest tragedies in Ossetia's modern history, according to the Republican commission for the preparation of nationally significant events.

The events will take place at the intersection of the Tskhinval-Dmenis highway and the bypass road.

The highest state award was presented to the Russian diplomat for his significant contribution to the development of friendly relations between peoples and his many years of fruitful work.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev held a working meeting with the Republic's Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of the head of state's foreign policy instructions following the government meeting held the previous day.

During the conversation, measures to strengthen cooperation with the states that had recognized South Ossetia's independence, as well as the plans to expand diplomatic contacts with other countries, were discussed.

Strengthening ties with the key Latin American partners – Nicaragua and Venezuela – is a priority for the Republic. This was stated by Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.

According to the Minister, despite the geographical distance and international pressure, relations between the countries remain very warm, and the partners confirm the steadfastness of their commitment to recognizing the Republic's independence.
