Vice Speaker of Parliament is running for president of South Ossetia

The meeting of the action group for nominating the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Mira Tskhovrebova as the presidential candidate has been held in Tskhinval. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Central Election Committee. The participants of the meeting unanimously voted for nomination of Tskhovrebova for presidential elections in March.

As reported to IA "Res" by Tskhovrebova, January 30 the action+ group is planning to submit the necessary documents to the CEC for registration.
It should be reminded, that the CEC has earlier registered the initiative groups nominating Deputy Defense Minister Igor Alborov, former Chairman of the State Committee of Information, Communication and Mass Media of South Ossetia Georgy Kabisov, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Yuri Dzitstsoity, a Chairman of the RSO Chamber of Commerce Roin Kozaev, and ex-Chairman of the Committee of Transportation Maurice Sanakoev, RSO parliamentary deputy of the IVth convocation Sergei Zasseev and ex-presidential candidate, RSO parliamentary deputy of the IId and IVth convocations Vladimir Kelekhsaev as the presidential candidates.
Presidential re-election in South Ossetia is scheduled for March 25, 2012.
