The World Art Committee and the World Assembly of Social Recognition have decorated the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity with the gold order and have awarded him honorary title of «the Holder of the international order «Knight of honour." The rewarding ceremony has taken place in the assembly hall of the Government House in Tskhinval. The award to the head of the state has been presented by the President of the North-Caucasian Academy of Creative Work, the Honored Art Worker of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Abkhazia, Ingushetia, and Dagestan Aues Bejtuganov.
«We know Edward Kokoity as a strong and wise politician, who has made a great deal for development of the modern society. He makes a valuable contribution to development of the Caucasian civilization and intercultural contacts. And today I am glad on behalf of the World Art Committee and the World Assembly of Social Recognition to present the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Dzhabeevich Kokoity the Gold Order with awarding him the honorary title of «the Holder of the international order «Knight of honour," - Bejtuganov has said before the award presenting. Eduard Kokoity has thanked for so high public award and has underlined that he considers it the award to all people of South Ossetia. «This award is to all Ossetian people, to all my brothers and sisters for their selfless labour, for courage and heroism which they have shown while repulsing the Georgian aggression. But despite the ordeals, the people of South Ossetia have not become angry and remain the really Caucasian people», - the head of the state has underlined. The action has proceeded with a concert of the North Caucasian and the South-Ossetian variety stars.
