The dress rehearsal for the concert program of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of South Ossetia "Simd" has been held today in Tskhinval. The concert program will be presented in Nicaragua, where the ensemble plans to fly on February 17.
The rehearsal was attended by top leaders of the Republic, headed by President Leonid Tibilov, as well as representatives of the public and the intellectuals of South Ossetia.
As the art director of the ensemble Sergey Shavlokhov has told reporters after the rehearsal, "Simd" will visit Nicaragua within the framework of bilateral cooperation agreements.
"" Simd" will introduce the Nicaraguans the culture and traditions of the Ossetian people. We will perform such dances as ''Simd,'' ''Khongae,'' ''Gorski,'' ''The Dance with daggers,''
''Abkhazian folk dance,'' "- said Shavlokhov.
He explained that the concert would last an hour and ten minutes.
"The team is in a good mood, full of positive emotions and energy. I hope that we will adequately represent South Ossetia in Nicaragua" - expressed confidence the art director.
Shavlokhov has noted that the creative staff, flying to Nicaragua, consists of 21 people.
"In Nicaragua, we'll stay for a week, we are planning to give two concerts the first day, and then within four days one concert a day" - said Shavlokhov.
Shavlokhov has added, that along with the dances on the Nicaraguan stage a well-known singer of South Ossetia Nina Gatikoeva will sing several songs in Ossetian and foreign languages .
