President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov attended the inauguration ceremony of the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic Kazbek Kokov, the press service of the head of state rep.
Anatoly Bibilov congratulated Kazbek Kokov on assuming a high public office and wished him to achieve all the tasks.
“Thanks to your business skills, integrity and love for your native republic, I am sure you will be able to implement all the plans into reality.
I am sure that your activity will give a new impetus to the development of relations between South Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria so that our peoples, like many centuries, live in friendship, mutual understanding, and respect for traditions. Good health to you and the people of Kabardino-Balkaria,” said Anatoly Bibilov.
The plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Matovnikov also took part in the solemn meeting, who noted the center’s full support in the development of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.
The responsibility and high competence of the newly elected head Kazbek Kokov was noted by Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs Sergey Chebotarev. He also thanked the former leaders of the republic for their significant contribution to the most difficult times.
“You will bear the burden of responsibility for 5 years. The region has been given the task of attracting additional investment, creating new points of economic growth, including the development of tourism, industry and improving the social sphere.
Minkavkaz is always with you where we are needed,” said Sergey Chebotarev.
Approved on Thursday by the republican parliament to the post of the head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Kazbek Kokov took the oath and took office.
The Chairman of the Parliament of the KBR, Tatyana Egorova, announced a parliamentary decree on the election of Kazbek Kokov as the head of the KBR for five years, after which he took the oath.
The ceremony was attended by Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Matovnikov, Minister of the North Caucasus Affairs Sergey Chebotarev, heads of neighboring regions, as well as leaders of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Kazbek Kokov, the son of the first president of the KBR Valery Kokov, was born in 1973 in the village of Second Lesken, Kabardino-Balkarian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 2013, he was appointed adviser to the regional bloc of management of the President of the Russian Federation on domestic policy, oversaw the North Caucasus. Since September 26, 2018, he has temporarily acted as the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, replacing Yuri Kokov at this post.
