The command and cadets of the Sukhum Higher Combined Arms Command School of the Defense Ministry of Abkhazia visited the National Museum of South Ossetia. The servicemen arrived in the Republic as part of a large delegation to participate in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of South Ossetia.
According to the press service of the Defense Ministry, as part of the plan of cultural and leisure activities, the Abkhazian servicemen have also visited a number of other sights of the Republic.
Director of the institution Merab Zasseev and other employees, conducted excursions around the museum; the servicemen were introduced to the exhibits in the departments dedicated to the tragic events of August 2008, the participation of Ossetians in the Great Patriotic War, soldiers -internationalist from South Ossetia, and told about many other thematic expositions.
The cadets were also told about the exposition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ossetian genocide committed by the Menshevik government of Georgia in 1920.
