In South Ossetia, 133 people have been tested for COVID-19 in a day, 47 tests showed a positive result, the Republic's chief sanitary doctor Marina Kochieva told IA "Res".
“47 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in South Ossetia in a day. Since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15), 580 people fell ill,” said Kochieva.
During the entire pandemic, 670 cases of coronavirus were detected in South Ossetia .
The chief sanitary doctor of the republic has noted that in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, the population must adhere to the mask regime, at the first symptoms of the disease, do not self-medicate, but call a doctor at home.
Since April of this year, about 7 thousand tests for COVID-19 have been carried out in the PCR laboratory of South Ossetia. In the Republic, all secondary schools and educational institutions are closed for two weeks due to cases of coronavirus and seasonal SARS and influenza.
Due to the growing spread of coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health has deployed up to 100 beds in the children's hospital of the RMMC.
In addition, on behalf of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, the Ministry of Defense of the republic sent a letter to the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation with a request to send a military field hospital to the Republic.
The day before, on October 27, a military field hospital for 150 beds arrived in Tskhinval to treat patients with coronavirus infection. To combat COVID-19, it has everything you need: ventilators, intensive observation monitors, X-ray machines, ultrasounds, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
