Miyagi & Andy Panda's "Yamakasi" video received the Golden Lion in the Music Videos category of the Young Director Award, which is being held as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival, according to the performers' official Instagram page.
“Thanks to everyone who was involved in this great victory,” the message says.
The video for the track "Yamakasi" was being filmed for several weeks in North Ossetia. The filming was attended by residents of the republic, who are fans of the work of Miyagi & Andy Panda. The clip was released in November 2020 and has nearly 30 million views on YouTube.
