The team of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia took part in the opening ceremony of the international competition "Excellence in Military Intelligence" held within the framework of the International Army Games - 2021 ("ARMI-2021"), the press service of the Republic's defense department reported.
The opening ceremony took place on the territory of the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command School.
According to the representative of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the RSO Guard Lieutenant Ruslan Otdayev, the event was held in the presence of representatives of the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, armies of foreign states, as well as representatives of local authorities.
“A ceremonial formation took place, followed by a demonstration performance and a festive concert. The flagship group of the host country and the participating teams with national flags marched along the parade ground of the school,” he said.
According to Otdayev, the drawing of lots for the first stage of the competition took place earlier.
“The competition will start tomorrow morning. Our team will perform under the third number after the teams of Belarus and India. In addition, the representative of our team, who acts as a judge at the competition, was awarded a corresponding certificate,” he said.
The strongest teams from Russia, China, Belarus, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia and India are taking part in the competition "Excellence in Military Intelligence".
