The action in support of Russia to ensure peace in the Donbass, as well as to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine, is taking place on Friday in Sukhum at the Dynamo city stadium.
The stadium, which can accommodate about 5 thousand people, is full. The action is attended by the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya, residents of all cities and districts.
Aslan Bzhaniya said at the rally that the Ukrainian authorities had turned the country into an instrument of the West. "Unfortunately, Ukraine has become an instrument through which the so-called collective West is essentially implementing a policy of imperialism aimed at establishing a unipolar world," the President said.
He has noted that Abkhazia survived the war of 1992-1993, and "until now the international community stubbornly refuses to hear the voice of our republic." “Why are we not given the opportunity to express our position in the United Nations? The answer is obvious: because the truth they hear is not beneficial to most of what they consider to be a democratic West. The Western community does not want to hear what is uncomfortable and profitable," Bzhaniya said.
According to the President, Russia was the country that told the truth about the events of 2008 in fraternal South Ossetia. "We will never forget the day when the Russian Federation announced the recognition of the state independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia," Bzhaniya said.
Representatives of different national communities, veterans of the Georgian-Abkhaz war spoke at the rally. All of them expressed support for Russia's actions.
