Parliamentarians of South Ossetia will take part in the III International Conference "The Role of Interaction between Factions of Political Parties and Blocs in Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the CIS Countries" in Moscow. Zaza Dryaev, head of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary relations, told the “Res” news agency that representatives of all parliamentary factions, headed by Speaker Alan Alborov, would attend the conference.
“The conference will be attended by Chairman of Parliament Alan Alborov, Vice Speaker of Parliament Vladimir Kelekhsaev, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Zaza Dryaev, Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Health Alexander Pliev, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science Inal Urigaev, Chairman of the Committee on budget and taxes Elena Dzhioeva and deputy Zita Besaeva,” said Driaev.
He has noted that within the framework of the event, a number of meetings will be held in factions of the State Duma, and a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is also expected.
Participants of the International Conference "The role of interaction between factions of political parties and blocs in inter-parliamentary cooperation of the CIS countries" will discuss issues of expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation. Also on the sidelines of the conference, a number of inter-factional meetings will be held, where they will discuss the issues of harmonization of national legislations and issues of joint opposition to emerging challenges and threats.
The event will bring together the heads of 27 delegations of political parties from 10 post-Soviet countries.
