The State Security Committee of South Ossetia is implementing a set of measures to ensure control of the airspace of the Republic and suppress possible flights of unmanned aerial vehicles, the press service of the department reports.
"In order to further ensure security in the Republic during the celebration of Victory Day, from 09.00 on May 7 to 09.00 on May 10, the operational meeting of the Security Council introduced a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of any type in the South Ossetian airspace," the press service said.
The KGB has warned the UAV users against their use during the upcoming holidays and reminded that the misuse of airspace entails liability in accordance with the legislation in force in the Republic.
