The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Russian Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography", the press service of the Embassy reports.
The document was signed on Thursday in St. Petersburg at the ground of the International Economic Forum.
"The agreement provides for the training of personnel for the Republic in the field of geodesy, cartography and cadastre, including the implementation of additional education for the staff of ministries and departments within the framework of short-term programs, internships; support for bilateral educational, scientific, technological and socio-cultural contacts including within the framework of interaction with educational organizations and authorities of the Republic, popularization of the scientific and educational activities of MIIGAiK through the information work of advertising and presentation events, including introductory lectures on geographic information, earth science, information modeling technologies in construction, etc., the statement of the press service reads.
The agreement was signed by Ambassador of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev and rector of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography Nadezhda Kamynina.
