Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia, Konstantin Dzhussoev, received on Wednesday the delegations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and Abkhazia, arrived to celebrate the anniversary of the emergency department.
The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic, Ibragim Gasseev, also took part in the meeting.
The Prime Minister congratulated the employees of the South Ossetian emergency department on the anniversary of the establishment of the department and his Russian colleagues on their professional holiday - Civil Defense Day.
Dzhussoev has noted that relations between Russia and South Ossetia are developing in the spirit of cooperation and integration and are of a strategic nature.
“Relations between the ministries for emergency situations of Russia and South Ossetia are actively developing. We remember what assistance Russia provided in the formation of our department and still helps it in logistics and training of new personnel,” Dzhussoev has noted.
The Prime Minister has expressed confidence that further relations between the two departments will be strengthening and developing.
Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Ilya Denisov also congratulated his South Ossetian colleagues on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the department.
“Relations between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia are of a strategic nature. During the interaction and strategic partnership, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations carried out a number of humanitarian operations on the territory of the Republic. This includes mine clearance, the delivery of humanitarian supplies, we often meet on the issue of exchanging experience,” he has noted.
Ilya Denisov was awarded the Order of Friendship. Other employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and representatives of the emergency department of Abkhazia also received high state awards.
In the capital of South Ossetia, on Wednesday, the events are being held to mark the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As part of the celebrations, demonstration performances by the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be organized on the basis of the South Ossetian State University. There will also be a ceremonial meeting, during which the results of the 15-year activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be summed up and new steps to improve the structure will be outlined.
