The head and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia, representatives of the leadership of emergency departments of Russia and Abkhazia, and the public of the Republic laid wreaths and flowers at the memorial to Defenders of the Fatherland in Tskhinval, the department’s press service reports.
In the capital of South Ossetia, the events are being held on Wednesday to mark the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
As part of the celebrations, demonstration performances by the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be organized on the basis of the South Ossetian State University. There will also be a ceremonial meeting, during which the results of the 15-year activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be summed up and new steps to improve the structure will be outlined.
