The Day of Ossetian Culture was held in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation, the press service of Ministry of National Policy and External Relations of North Ossetia reported.
The Ministry has noted that residents and guests of Krasnoyarsk were able to plunge into the atmosphere of everyday life and lifestyle of the Ossetian people. The event was preceded by the screening of a short film about the traditions of the handicraft business of the Alborov brothers.
“After watching the interesting story, one of the brothers, metal artist, blacksmith and jeweler Aslan Alborov, told the audience about the ancient art of Scythian gunsmiths, presenting handmade products from his ARION workshop. The recreated elements of the weapons of ancient warriors who once lived in the Caucasus - the Scythians - could be seen in the swords, akinaki, and bows presented at the exhibition, inlaid in the so-called animal style,” the Ministry said.
The press service has also added that the exhibition-presentation of products and equipment clearly reflected the traditions of the ancient Scythian-Sarmatians.
The event participants also got acquainted with household items, decorative and applied arts, and tasted national cuisine. The evening continued with interesting master classes on Ossetian dances and handicrafts.
