Ambassador of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev took part in a flower-laying ceremony in the Park of Glory in Sukhum in memory of the warriors perished in the March 1993 offensive operation. This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The commemorative event,was attended by President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, Prime Minister of the country Alexander Ankvab, Speaker of Parliament Lasha Ashuba, Secretary of the RA Security Council Sergei Shamba, and the war veterans.
The March offensive is one of the bloodiest operations in the history of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia of 1992-1993, which claimed the lives of 222 people, including volunteers from South Ossetia.
