Relations between South Ossetia and the Republic of Dagestan have always been friendly, and I am sure that they will continue to develop dynamically, - President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev said at the meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Dagestan.
The delegation arrived in the Republic to celebrate the Day of Recognition of the Independence of South Ossetia by Russia.
The delegation has included Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan Gadzhi Sultanov and Minister of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan Enrik Muslimov.
Peoples of South Ossetia and the fraternal Republic of Dagestan have always treated each other warmly; we value these relations very much. Thank you for coming today and being with us. We are very confident that we can achieve a lot in terms of economic development. We have something to work on, and I am sure we will continue to actively cooperate," the President said.
Gadzhi Sultanov addressed the words of congratulations on behalf of the head of the Republic of Dagestan to all the people of South Ossetia.
"I would like to wish your Republic dynamic development. Historical relations have developed between our peoples, and I am sure they will continue to develop in the future, because all the conditions for this exist.
Today we will have a meeting on economic development, and I hope that as a result of it we will be able to increase trade turnover between our republics and further develop mutual cooperation not only in the economic sphere, but also in the humanitarian sphere," Sultanov has emphasized.
Alan Gagloev presented Gadzhi Sultanov with the Order of Friendship.
The President also awarded a medal in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War of the People of South Ossetia to Enrik Muslimov.
The parties also exchanged memorable gifts.
