The format of telemedicine consultations between the Health Ministry of South Ossetia with Russia will be expanded, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told media representatives.

"Our task is to provide planned and emergency assistance as much as possible, so we will also consider its further improvement," Murashko said.

The Minister has noted that the agreement was reached to expand the format of telemedicine consultations.

"We have a special telemedicine center that provides communication with any specialist from the largest medical center, where specialists can get appropriate assistance in order to choose the optimal tactics for treating a patient," the head of the Russian Health Ministry added.

Mikhail Murashko arrived in the Republic on a two-day working visit, during which he took part in the II International Medical Conference and inspected the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center.
