The development of the South Ossetian-Abkhaz relations was discussed during a meeting between the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev. This was reported by press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.
As noted, the meeting took place in Sukhum. Oleg Botsiev congratulated Oleg Bartsits on his appointment to the post of head of the foreign policy department.
“During the meeting, which was traditionally held in a warm and friendly manner, the current state of the Abkhaz-South Ossetian relations and steps for their development were discussed,” the report says.
The parties also emphasized their mutual commitment to fruitful joint work in order to strengthen the interstate Abkhaz-South Ossetian cooperation. In addition, topical issues of the regional and international agenda were discussed.
