In the village of Mugut in Znaur District of South Ossetia, a farewell ceremony was held for Boris Rubenovich Bestaev (call sign "Bes"), a participant in the special military operation.

The ceremony was attended by the Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, heads of the ministries and agencies, the soldier's relatives and friends, his comrades, and members of the public.

Boris Bestaev died while fulfilling his military duty in the special military operation zone.

Those gathered were remembering him as a man of rare kindness and courage, a reliable comrade, a true patriot—the example of courage, fortitude, and justice.

His passing is the irreparable loss for his family, friends, and all who has known him.

He had been listed as missing in action since August of this year; it was later confirmed that he had been killed while on a combat mission.

The soldier's body has been delivered to his homeland only now.

Boris Bestaev was 29 years old.

He did not have time to start a family, but his life, cut short so early, left a deep mark on the hearts of those who valued and respected him.
