Materials from the Archives of foreign policy of the Russian Empire dedicated to the 270th anniversary of the First Embassy of Ossetia in St. Petersburg were presented at the South Ossetian National Museum.

The presentation was attended by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Prime Minister Eric Pukhaev, Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev and others.

Anatoly Bibilov expressed gratitude to Marat Kulakhmetov, with whose assistance the materials were transferred to the museum.

On October 28, a 70-year-old Margo Martiashvili was urgently delivered to Tskhinval, to the republican hospital, from the Leningor district with a diagnosis of stroke. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts of the doctors, it was not possible to save the woman. To the relatives and friends of the late compatriot we express our condolences.

Arm-wrestling world champion Arsen Khabalov was met at the Ruk tunnel on the border of South Ossetia according to the Ossetian custom - with three cakes and a glass of beer. Arsen was congratulated by representatives of the public and his relatives, the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism said.

At the world championship held in the Romanian city of Constanta, the ward of a coach Valery Dzhioev won in the weight class up to 70 kg.

The exposition can be seen in the Russian Ethnographic Museum until November 20.

Kabisov performed a concert for harmonica with an orchestra (part 3) arranged for harmonica with piano, and the piano was performed by the Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic, Janetta Gagieva.

The international contest-festival of art “Italian Break” was held in San Marino from October 30 to November 2.

The unity of the peoples of South Ossetia and Russia will be a great contribution to the life of future generations, said President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov at a reception in Tskhinval. The reception was organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic and the Russian Center for Science and Culture on the eve of the celebration of National Unity Day - November 4.

Musicians from South Ossetia: Honored Worker of Culture Zhanetta Gagieva and a young talented performer of the national harmonica Sarmat Kabisov will present a concert program from the works of Ossetian composers and Ossetian national music in the Italian city of Gradara, the Republic’s Foreign Ministry reports.

Volgograd is hosting the international forum of public diplomacy “Dialogue on the Volga: Peace and Mutual Understanding in the 21st Century”, which is attended by representatives of different countries of the world, including South Ossetia.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko discussed with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar, the situation on the Georgian-South Ossetian border, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

"An exchange of views took place on the current situation in the Georgian-South Ossetian border region, as well as on some relevant topics of the Geneva discussions," the commentary on the Russian Foreign Ministry website says.

President Anatoly Bibilov met with representative of South Ossetia in the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, Vitaly Yankovsky, and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in the Benelux countries, Radion Pukhaev, the presidential press service said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev also took part in the meeting.

The head of state has expressed his gratitude for the work that the representatives of South Ossetia are doing in the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic and in Europe.
