Foreign Minister Dzhioev: It's important for South Ossetia to fight neo-fascism in the special military operation together with Russia

Jointly confronting neo-fascism in the special military operation with Russia is important for South Ossetia, people of which people have always stood with Russia, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev told RIA Novosti.

"Historically, the peoples of our countries have always been together. Residents of South Ossetia took active part in the Great Patriotic War, and today we are forced to fight a new form of fascism," the Minister said.

Foreign Minister Dzhioev: South Ossetia faced the Georgian state terrorism

During the presidency of Mikheil Saakashvili, South Ossetia faced genuine state terrorism from Georgia, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev told RIA Novosti .

He has emphasized that under Saakashvili, Georgia exerted enormous pressure on the republic. He cited the creation of the "temporary administration" in South Ossetia by the Georgian authorities as the example of this policy.

"The country was effectively subjected to state terrorism, carried out by Georgia," the Minister said.

President of South Ossetia presented the award certificate to the son of the fallen special military operation participant

As part of the "My New Year's Dream" charity event, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev presented a medal certificate to the son of Rustam Tabuev, a soldier killed during the special military operation.

A 15-year-old Dmitry Tabuev, Rustam's son, requested that humanitarian aid be sent to his father's fellow soldiers. The head of state not only organized the delivery of the aid but also personally visited the special military operation zone to hand over the supplies to the soldiers of the Ossetian units.

The South Ossetian parliamentarians discussed the agreement with the Abkhaz government on trade regime

The ratification of the agreement between the governments of South Ossetia and Abkhazia on trade regime was discussed in Tskhinval at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Policy and Inter-parliamentary relations, chaired by Zaza Driaev. This was reported by the press service of Parliament of South Ossetia.

It was noted that the agreement was developed based on the sovereign right of each country to conduct the independent foreign economic policy, with the intention of facilitating the creation of a single market for goods, services, capital, and labor.

The South Ossetian KGB, with the assistance of the Republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained a resident of the village of Leningor, suspected of transmitting information to the foreign media outlets affiliated with Georgian intelligence services, the agency's press service reports.

The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry responded to Georgia's demand that Russia withdraw from the Republic

Georgia needs to understand that Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's independence will not change, and move toward building constructive relations, South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev told RIA Novosti.

"Regarding Tbilisi's calls for Russia to withdraw from South Ossetia and revoke its recognition, we have repeatedly seen the Russian Federation emphasize these decisions at the highest level. And Russia, as a nuclear power and a major global power, will not reverse these decisions. I think Georgia needs to accept and recognize these realities," he said
