During the day, 64 tests on COVID-19 have been conducted in South Ossetia, 10 of them showed a positive result, the Republic's chief sanitary doctor Marina Kochieva told IA "Res" on Tuesday.

"Another 10 citizens have been confirmed with coronavirus, just 62 since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15)," she said.

According to Kochieva, over the entire period of the pandemic on the morning of October 13, 139 cases of coronavirus were registered in the Republic.

In the infectious diseases department of the Republican Medical Center of Tskhinval in the "red zone", 16 patients are being treated, in whom viral pneumonia is radiographically confirmed, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic Alla Chochieva told IA "Res" on Monday.

According to her, 15 patients were diagnosed with COVID-19.

In South Ossetia, over the past day, 10 new cases of coronavirus have been laboratory confirmed, the head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Marina Kochieva told IA "Res" on Saturday.

“Over the past day, 51tests have been carried out in the laboratory of the Committee, 10 have shown a positive result,” Kochieva said.

According to her, over the entire period of the pandemic on the morning of October 10, 129 cases of coronavirus were registered, since the day the restrictions on the border with the Russian Federation were lifted (September 15) - 52 cases.

Due to the current restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, the delegation of South Ossetia is ready to work online, said Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia, head of the South Ossetian delegation, Murat Dzhioev.
