Boxer from South Ossetia is performing in the Thai Boxing World Championship

Athlete from South Ossetia Ivar Talibdjanov is participating in the Thai Boxing World Championship, which has started today in St. Petersburg.
According to the sportsman, he is performing in the weight class up to 86 kilograms.
"The competition is attended by athletes from 100 countries. All-female teams will also perform in the competitions. The athletes, taking part in the competition, are very strong, many of them are the world champions, champions of Europe and the winners of various major tournaments. I`ll do my best to justify hopes of our Ossetian fans"- said Talibdzhanov IA "Res".

Pupils of the Kyokushin-Kan Karate school of South Ossetia will participate in the V-th open All-Russian Youth Games of martial arts.

As the head instructor Vladimir Sozaev reported IA "Res", "the tournament will be held in Anapa September, 9 – 19, 2012. It will be the large- scale children`s competition. National Olympic Committee is planned to be established in South Ossetia.

As reported to IA "Res" by the Chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Vadim Bogiev, "Republic of South Ossetia is a sovereign state. Our independence has been recognized by several states that are members of the United Nations and other international organizations.It is natural that our country should have its sports structures, which, along with the other ones, are the indispensableattributes of any independent state".
According to him, South Ossetia received congratulatory telegrams from a number of countries whose teams had participated in the recent XXX Summer Olympics in London.

The well-known Ossetian professional boxer Aslanbek Kozaev is gradually gaining in form after undergoing surgery.

"For the South Ossetian fighters was recently held the training session in Zaramag, North Ossetia. Kozaev has gradually got involved in the training process. He is feeling himself fine, "- said Slanov.
