The 10th round of the Geneva discussions on security in South Caucasus is starting today in Geneva (Switzerland).
The South Ossetian delegation is going to present to the talks participants its vision on the Non-Use of Force Agreement. "We hope that our proposals on the Non-Use of Force Agreement will be well-considered. Otherwise, we will have to perceive the Geneva discussions as a gathering of today's Georgia's allies meeting in Geneva to help implement the evil plans of Georgian authorities", stated the Special Representative for Post-Conflict Settlement Boris Chochiev before departing for Geneva.

Chochiev expressed his hope that the discussions participants would eventually come to a common understanding and vision on non-use of force agreement. "Georgia differently interprets Medvedev-Sarkozy agreements. The Geneva discussions are working on elaboration of a draft legally binding document obliging Georgia to refrain from use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia. In its turn, Georgia is drafting a paper guaranteeing non-use of force by Russia. It is worth taking into account that for many years Georgians are detached from Russia and they seem to lack understanding of the Russian language, if they did not realize that the talks is about non-use of force by Georgia, the aggressor, to prevent reoccurrence of August 2008 events, when Georgia attacked sleeping Tskhinval. Georgia, the aggressor, demands for discussion of non-use of force by Russia. I doubt that we will reach common understanding if there is such a vision of the situation", said Chochiev.
