Fines of hundreds of thousands of rubles: the KGB of South Ossetia reported on the results of the fight against border violators in six months

157 violators of border legislation were detained on the border of South Ossetia for six months. According to the KGB of the Republic, 70 people violated the state border regime, 85 violated the border regime, and two ignored the legal demands of border guards.

Investigations were conducted on each fact.

As a result, 106 people were fined a total of 281,000 rubles, 29 received warnings, six criminal cases were initiated against ten, nine people were expelled from the Republic, and three cases were dismissed.

The Border Service reminded citizens and tourists planning to travel to settlements located in the border zone, including for recreation and to attend festive or memorial events, of the need to have identity documents with them - a passport, service ID, birth certificate (for minors), and for foreign citizens, in addition, a pass to the border zone.

For hunting and fishing in the border zone, it is necessary to obtain permission three working days before the start of the event. The violation of the border regime entails administrative and, in some cases, criminal liability.
