Social infrastructure and private housing in Znauri area is under active reconstruction, Deputy Head of district administration Vladimir Gatikoev told IA RES. The reconstruction at Teregvan school is almost completed. "Only external decoration remains incomplete. From September 1, the schoolchildren have already started they studies in the light and renovated classrooms. However, the classes at secondary school of Znaur are held in the former raikom building, since during the war the school building was badly damaged. There were even proposals to demolish the building and rebuild it. But later it was decided to reconstruct it. Currently, the restoration works are in their final stage" he said.
Vladimir Gatikoev noted that the reconstruction at Znaur kindergarten was also ongoing. "Unfortunately - he added – we had to suspend the teaching process at this kindergarten and to dissolve the children to their homes. But hopefully, by the end of the year will be able to repair at least a few rooms, majority of classrooms require a lot of work, and the classes there will not start until the whole building is completed.
In the district, according to the deputy head of the district administration, installation of wooden houses for low-income families has been completed. Their connection to power supply system and water pipeline needs to be completed. According to him, in the district focuses on restoration and low voltage lines in rural areas.
"The restoration of inner network in the village Okona has been completed, and similar works are starting in other villages," he said.
