Today in the hero city Tskhinval the solemn ceremony of the Military oath rite by recruits of the Armed forces of the Republic of South Ossetia has taken place at the Eternal Flame on the Heroes Avenue. Several tens of young fighters of the spring conscription 2011 have sworn under the leadership of the RSO Minister of Defence, Major General Valery Jakhnovets. At 17 o'clock, the divisions of the Tskhinvalskiy garrison were drawn up in the dismounted formation in field uniform with automatic machines in hands. The Minister of Defence has reported to the Supreme Commander in Chief, President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity, that the staff is ready for holding the solemn oath rite of the young generation.
Before the beginning of the oath rite the Minister of Defence has appealed to the recruits; he has reminded the serviceman of the meaning of the oath of allegiance. After that the oath rite has begun. Walking at the solemn pace, standing out, they were rapping out each sacred word of the military oath. The Supreme Commander in Chief of the Armed forces of the RSO, the President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity, addressing to the young fighters, has reminded them how, thanks to firmness, heroism and courage of the inhabitants of the Republic, the defenders of the Fatherland, the invaluable help of Russia the South-Ossetian people managed to withstand and defend the freedom, to achieve independence and the international recognition. «You can attain to the level of the best. I am sure that, following the century traditions of the Ossetian army, you will enrich the annals of military valour of your Fatherland defenders with the diligent service, you will not disgrace memory of our heroic ancestors, who have handed down to us numerous illustrations of protecting our Fatherland and building happy future», - the President has underlined. The recruits have thanked the President with thrice-repeated "hurray!" After that the floor has been given to the Hero of Ossetia, the holder of an order "Uatsamonga", the Minister of Emergency, the Major General Anatoly Bibilov. «It`s a great honour - to serve our Native Ossetia, our people. Today you have taken the oath. You have taken it not only for the term of your service, but for all your life. You should serve your Native land; do everything for its prosperity wherever you work after your service. I am convinced that the Republic leadership, your parents, brothers and sisters will be proud of you. I wish you good luck and happiness! », -he has said. Having congratulated the recruits on making the oath, a cadet Sergey Burntsev`s mother - Alla Kochieva -has wished the recruits the serene sky overhead. «The Republic of South Ossetia has suffered too much. I wish you were always the worthy sons of our small, but proud and beautiful Republic», - she has underlined. A father of one of the recruits - Sarmat Guzitaev -has told the news agency "Res": «Today is a significant day in the life of our family. Today my son has taken the military oath. He has joined the ranks of the Armed forces of our Ossetia. I, myself, have served in the Soviet Army, as well as my father. My grandfather has valorously gone through the Great Patriotic War. I am satisfied with the conditions of the soldiers’ service, as well as my son is. I’d like to thank the Republican leadership for well caring for the soldiers. All of them are provided with all necessary things; they do not complain and will be good soldiers». Solemn ceremony of the oath rite was finished to the strains of the National anthem of the Republic of South Ossetia. Everybody saw, how the pigeon - peace symbol- had sat down on the top of the Military Glory Obelisk; they considered it the auspice.
