The panel of the three Supreme Court judges of South Ossetia has not satisfied the appeal of the initiative group, nominating the head coach of the Russian national team on free-style wrestling Dzhambolat Tedeev for presidential elections in the RSO, against the resolution of the Central Electoral Committee passed on September, 30. As informed by the press-service of the Supreme Court of the RSO, after the Central Election Committee session, where the appeal of the initiative group of Tedeev has been discussed, « the panel of the three Supreme Court judges have considered this case: a chief justice Atsamaz Bichenov and two judges-Karina Tskhovrebova and Nelli Tibilova. The panel of judges has not satisfied the appeal against the decision of the Central Election Committee and has confirmed the refusal of the Central Electoral Committee on registration Dzhambolat Tedeev». It has been noted by the press- service of the Supreme Court, that according to the RSO Constitutional law «About the presidential elections in the RSO», the court decision is definitive and unappealable. According to the employee of the press-service, the session has been conducted in a quiet, work environment and «the court managed not to admit any influence or pressing at issuing a verdict as it had been in a case with the Central Election Committee, though the attempts of bribing the majority of the Supreme Court judges by supporters of Dzhambolat Tedeev also took place». «It is caused by the fact that the judiciary consists of people with strong qualifications. Despite the offers and requests for assistance in passing the decision in favour of the initiative group, nominating Tedeev for presidential elections, the judges have reacted with dignity - the decision was objective, lawful and was not subjected to any influence». The interlocutor of the agency has underlined that realizing, « how much important is consideration of this case for further normal course of the election campaign, the judges have reacted to the bribery attempts absolutely adequately, and these attempts remained only the attempts». «To minimize the possibility of influence on judges, it was made a decision not to disclose the panel of judges up to the beginning of consideration this case. Nevertheless, several possible participants of this process have received such offers». It should be reminded that on October, 10 the initiative group of Dzhambolat Tedeev has submitted the appeal against the decision of the Central Electoral Committee of the RSO, passed on September, 30, to the Supreme Court of the RSO.
