Soslan Margiev's candidacy for Prime Minister, nominated by the South Ossetian President Marat Kambolov, was considered at the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation, Rule of Law, and Local Self-Government.
The meeting was chaired by the head of the Committee Zita Besaeva, the legislative body's press service reports.
"The corresponding submission was sent to all the committees and commissions, which gave a positive opinion, so today our task is to decide whether to submit this issue for consideration by the presidium and session," Besaeva said.
She has added that the Parliament is considering the issue within the timeframe established by the constitutional law on the government.
During the meeting, the Committee members unanimously supported Soslan Margiev's candidacy.
Discussion of the issue will continue at the presidium and session.
