The visit of the Nicaraguan delegation to South Ossetia marks another important step in strengthening friendly ties between the two republics, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev noted during a meeting with his Nicaraguan counterpart, Waldrak Ludwing Jaentschke Whitaker.
The Nicaraguan delegation is in Tskhinval to attend the official inauguration ceremony of the Republic's President, Marat Kambolov, the Foreign Ministry's press service reports.
"During the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of further developing the partnership between Tskhinval and Managua," the press service has stated.
Akhsar Dzhioev thanked his Nicaraguan colleagues for their unwavering support.
