The final session of coordination council of the Russian compatriots living in the Republic of South Ossetia has taken place n Tskhinval. Heads and members of two public organizations, representing in the Republic the interests of compatriots, have taken part in the session: «Rossy» and «the Union of the Russian citizens of South Ossetia». As reported by representative of the Russian cooperation, the secretary of coordination council of the Russian compatriots Michail Stepanov to IA "RES", during the session its participants have considered the program of actions conducted in the Republic in 2011 with the assistance of the coordination centre. «For the current year a number of photo-exhibitions, competition of children's drawing, week of the Russian cinema, literary actions have been arranged in South Ossetia. Implementation of the schedule of actions has been recognized satisfactory», - Stepanov has noted. As he said, the coordination council had also discussed the urgent problems facing the organizations of compatriots in South Ossetia and a long-term plan of actions of the council for 2012 at close cooperation with the embassy of Russia in South Ossetia and the Russian Cooperation.
«It has been made a decision to celebrate the Day of the Russian flag, give special attention to the complex of the actions devoted to the Day of the Borodino battle. The complex of actions will include the expanded thematic evening, films display, photo-exhibition, and, certainly, competition of the children's drawing, devoted to this significant date», - representative of the Russian Cooperation has informed. Stepanov has added that it was also made a decision at the council session to take an active part in the exit seminar on the Russian language teaching in the bilingual environment, which will be held in March of the next year in Tskhinval within the frames of the Federal target program -«Russian language for 2011-2015». «Modern Russian artists will also be invited to the Republic to organize their exhibitions there. Next year it is also planned to hold children's creative competition on the subject "We are responsible for those. whom we have tamed", devoted to mutual relation of children with animals and the action devoted to a victory of Russian soldiers on Chutsky lake - in 2012 it will 770 years since the date of the battle», - the respondent has told. According to Stepanov, the coordination council has suggested the next year to hold the geographical competition among the pupils of South Ossetian schools on the theme «Do you know Russia?». «A number of actions are expected to be held on the basis of the Russian centre of science and culture which plans to open in South Ossetia the representative mission of the Russian Cooperation in the RSO», - he has concluded. It should be reminded; the Coordination council of the Russian compatriots under the embassy of the Russian Federation in the RSO has been functioning in South Ossetia more than a year. It includes two communities - the Union of the Russian citizens under the direction of Natalia Zhujkova, and a society "Rossy", headed by Valentina Tasoeva.
