Representatives of South Ossetia took part in the international forum "Comprehension of the Origin of Cultures of Friendly Nations as an Important Factor of Cooperation between the CIS Countries and the Republics of the Caucasus", which was being held from May18 - 20 in Sochi. The Forum was organized by the International Humanitarian Public Fund "Knowledge" and missions of the Russian Cooperation in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
As IA "Res" has been reported by the Russian Cooperation representative in South Ossetia, Mikhail Stepanov on his arrival in Tskhinval, the South Ossetian delegation included teachers of the Russian language and literature of the educational institutions and the South-Ossetian State University, as well as representatives of the media of the Republic.

"The forum was attended by a Chairman of the Board of International Humanitarian Public Fund " Knowledge" Fedor Svetik, Director of the Department of Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Gennady Shepelev, the first Deputy head of the Moscow Department of Education Veniamin Kaganov, educators-specialists in Russian philology and senior educators from Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Ukraine and regions of the Russian Federation. In all, the Forum was attended by 60 participants,"- said Stepanov.
According to him, the forum began with opening the mobile exhibition "Our Cultural –Historical Heritage", organized by the International Humanitarian Public Fund "Knowledge."
"The exhibition, consisting of 20 stands of review, was devoted to the most valuable places of interest in Russia, as well as to the history of traditions and literature. Subsequently, the photo exhibition was given by the society "Knowledge" to the office of the Russian Cooperation in South Ossetia for further demonstration in South Ossetia ", - continued the Russian Cooperation representative. .
During the forum, according to Stepanov, he told the participants about the ongoing events in South Ossetia in support of the Russian language, pointing out that the Russian language is necessary in South Ossetia.
"It was stressed the need, as much as possible, to involve the young members of the Russian Diaspora in the preparing process," - he said.
Within the frames of the forum for delegates of the conference was held the I International School-Seminar "Management of the Innovation Processes in the Field of Education."
"The great interest of the participants caused the brilliantly conducted workshops on the subject "The Expert Designing Management of Innovative Development of the Educational Institutions" and "Teaching Mechanisms of Transition of the System of Continuing Education to a New Level: Technology, Teaching, and Monitoring." All the participants received certificates of the Moscow Department of Education, confirming participation in the I International School-Seminar"- underlined Stepanov.
He also said that a Head of Education and Science of the Sochi City Administration Olga Medvedeva had delivered an excellent report on the organization of the information work with young people on the eve of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games in 2014. "She drew attention to the possibility of extending the positive experience of the Sochi residents in this area not only in Moscow but also in other regions of the Russian Federation, as well as in the Republics of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The results of the work of the conference and the school-seminar were discussed at the round table "Regional Experience in Management of the Innovative Processes in Education", - added the respondent.
Stepanov also noted that constructive discussions with the Director of the Department of Vocational Education under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Gennady Shepelev, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the South Ossetian State University Natalia Gassieva and many other participants had also been held at the forum.
It should be noted this is not the first joint project of the missions of the Russian Cooperation and the International Humanitarian Public Fund "Knowledge." In 2010, representatives of South Ossetia participated in a similar event in Sochi. In addition, more than 30 teachers from Abkhazia and South Ossetia took part in the international conference "Teacher and his Role in Professional Choice of Students. The experience of Russia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia"; its organizers were also the Russian Cooperation and the International Humanitarian Public Fund "Knowledge." Moreover, last year a society "Knowledge" through the Russian Cooperation transferred to the Republic the exhibition "History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", demonstrated in all districts of South Ossetia.
