The leadership of South Ossetia and the Russian delegation paid tribute to the victims of the Georgian aggression

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and members of the Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation on socio-economic issues of Abkhazia and South Ossetia Tatiana Golikova, visited today the Russian peacekeepers' barracks ("Upper Town "), destroyed in August 2008, and put mourning wreaths and flowers on the death spot of servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

Participants of the ceremony observed a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of the peacekeepers` feat, who had parried the first blow of the aggressor.
The delegation has also laid the mourning wreaths at the Memorial Cemetery of victims of the Georgian aggression, 1989-1992, located in the courtyard of the school № 5 in Tskhinval.
