Tomorrow, August 30, the events on the occasion of the Day of the Missing Persons will be held in the capital of South Ossetia.
As IA "Res" has been informed by the head of the department for the missing of the South Ossetian NGO "Memory" Lida Dzigoeva, assistance in carrying out the activities was provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
"It is planned to hold a round table discussion on '' The search of the missing.'' It is also planned for the evening event'' Remember, love and look forward ...'', which will be launched with air lanterns with the name of each of the missing - told Dzigoeva. - Some people still do not know the fate of their relatives. On this day, we want to say that we remember and look forward to our loved ones, whose fates are still unclear. "

According to Dzigoeva, families of the missing persons must be assigned a status.
"Families of the missing have no social security, they have no official status, which would allow them to get some kind of social assistance or support," - said the head of the department.
She has noted that in South Ossetia there are about 150 families who have the missing loved ones.
